Chrome OS beta gets refreshed apps, Google Now support
The latest Chrome OS Beta channel offers Chrome Launcher 2.0 with the Google Now feature that gives you easy access to Google search or most used apps.

New Delhi: Google is extending its Chrome OS beta to explorers and users and along with improved apps, it has also enabled support for the Google Now virtual assistant.

The Chrome OS Beta Channel gives tech explorers and serious developers access to latest features sooner than other consumers. The latest channel offers Chrome Launcher 2.0 with the Google Now feature that gives you easy access to Google search or most used apps.

A report on HotHardware noted that some apps have been refreshed along with a feature to auto-detect your new timezone and then update the time and date accordingly. The system will also offer you with an option of password-protected ZIP support.

Early explorers can also submit feedback about the system and if they find the beta bumpy, they can revert to the stable version, however, doing so will make them lose all the local data.

What's your reaction?
