Apple’s iPhone SE 4 Model OLED Upgrade More Or Less Confirmed: Here’s The Reason
Apple wants to upgrade all the iPhones with the latest display tech so does that mean the new affordable iPhone SE could have these changes?

Apple is planning for its biggest display change since the iPhone X series in 2017 but adopting OLED panels for all its models by 2025 as per a report by Nikkei Asia this week. The company is expected to fully rely on vendors like LG, Samsung and BOE for the OLED displays that will be featured on the new iPhones, which should include the rumoured iPhone SE 4 model launching early next year.

iPhone SE 2024 Model Upgrades Confirmed?

The report comes right in time to more or less confirm the existence of the iPhone SE 2024 model that is expected to launch in early 2025. Rumours have talked about the new upcoming iPhone SE model to feature an iPhone 14-like design which means you get an OLED display, Face ID technology and no home button for biometrics anymore.

The fact that Apple is moving away from LCD display is a clear sign that a major upheaval for the iPhone SE moniker is imminent and much needed to be fair. For a company like Apple, changes like this is a big sign of the market moving ahead of the older technologies and it will be good to see a proper iPhone SE model that can rival the best in its range.

The new model will also support AI features from Apple, which suggests the new model could be powered by the A17 Pro or the A18 chipset. It remains to be seen if the high-end AI features will come to the device but people will surely find the rumoured iPhone SE 4 model appealing if it can pack the said features and offered in an iPhone 14-like design.

These upgrades will take a hit on the starting price of the SE model and we expect the range to get closer to Rs 60,000 when it launches in the market. When you consider these changes, the AI support and the new design language, chances are the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus variants will see a slow demise, especially for those who want to try out the latest features from the company.
