Salaar: Prabhas Fans Erect Cutouts, Shoot Confetti at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre; Videos Go Viral

Salaar: Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s Salaar has been released and with much fanfare. Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire kicked off its first show as early as 1 am in Hyderabad and fans thronged to the theatres to watch their favourite star on the big screen. In videos surfacing online from Hyderabad, large groups of Prabhas fans were seen gathered at Hyderabad’s famous Sandhya Theatre which appeared to be transformed into a concert like celebrations ground. Videos gone viral revealed that massive cut outs were placed at the venue.

In one of the videos, one could see a large cutout of Prabhas from Salaar placed at the venue while several other posters and digital motion posters were also placed at the theatre. The theatre had different kinds of lights placed as well. At one point, fans also shot confetti in the air, making Salaar’s release a true celebration. Watch the videos below:

Salaar has been granted an A certificate. Speaking about the rating, director Prashanth Neel told India Today, “We obviously wanted a ‘U/A’ because we want the family audience to come and watch the film. At the same time, we are now okay with an ‘A’ certificate. The rules have changed for the censor board and when they explained the reason behind it, we came to terms with it.”

Hombale Films’ Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire stars Prabhas along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. Made under the direction of Prashanth Neel, the film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur. Salaar has a duration of 2 hours and 55 minutes.
