After gripping the entire nation and then the world after its OTT release, RRR stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR have not appeared in any film since. Their upcoming projects are now being awaited with bated breath. While Jr NTR will toss us into a world of maritime adventure with the sea action thriller Devara, Ram Charan will next be seen in Shankar’s Game Changer.
The production of Game Changer has faced several delays due to Shankar shooting for Indian 2 and Game Changer simultaneously. Earlier slated for an August release, the movie has reportedly now been pushed to an October 2 release date.
Shankar and the rest of the film’s crew have now reportedly received an unpleasant jolt as the basic premise of the movie has reportedly been leaked, months before the teaser release, even while the movie is in production. While fans do not know for sure if the reports are accurate, some claim that the plot of Game Changer revolves around an IAS officer played by Ram Charan who must fight against a corrupt administrative system. The movie is believed to have elections as a backdrop. Shankar is known for making films which depict vigilantism against corrupt systems and the premise does not sound unconvincing to that end. However, News18 does not confirm these reports.
The OTT deal of Game Changer has reportedly been finalised. Amazon Prime Video has bought the streaming rights of the film for all languages. After Game Changer, Ram Charan will be working on a yet-untitled film with Buchi Babu. The launching event of this movie was held on March 20. The event was attended by Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, music director AR Rahman, Boney Kapoor and others. Although the title of the film has not been decided yet, some sources say that it may be Peddi. The title and other details are expected to be officially released on March 27, Ram Charan’s birthday.
