Actor Rahul Ravi Granted Anticipatory Bail In Harassment Case Filed By Wife Lakshmi

Rahul Ravi, a prominent Indian actor celebrated for his role in the Tamil-Kannada bilingual serial Nandini, has recently been in the spotlight due to a harassment case filed against him by his wife, Lakshmi. The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, is currently entangled in a legal dispute that has captured media attention.

After Lakshmi lodged an FIR against Rahul Ravi, alleging harassment, the actor reportedly went into hiding. The Chennai Police initiated a two-month search for Ravi, spanning four states, including Kerala. The Madras High Court initially granted bail to the actor, but it was later revoked when it was discovered that false information had been submitted in the affidavit. Consequently, the court ordered his arrest.

In response, Rahul Ravi sought anticipatory bail from the Supreme Court through Subash Chandran and Kavitha Law Associates, a prominent law firm in India’s Supreme Court. Subash Chandran and Kavitha Subash represented Ravi during the proceedings. The Supreme Court has now granted anticipatory bail to the actor, providing legal relief.

Rahul Ravi’s wife, Lakshmi, employed at an international bank in Chennai, filed a harassment case against the actor. The FIR alleged that Ravi was caught red-handed with another woman in his apartment at 2 am. The complaint further claimed that Rahul Ravi engaged in intimate conversations with multiple women after their marriage. Lakshmi reportedly received information about Ravi’s alleged affair, leading her to visit his apartment with association members, where she purportedly discovered him with another woman in his bedroom.

The FIR was based on the premise that Ravi was caught red-handed, and it has been a point of contention between the estranged couple. Various reports have suggested that Rahul Ravi and Lakshmi are considering separation.

The legal proceedings have unfolded amidst the actor’s professional commitments, with Rahul Ravi last seen in the movie Bhagavanth Kesari, featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. The case has brought the actor’s personal life into public scrutiny, generating widespread media coverage.
