The Uttarakhand Appropriation (Vote on Account) Ordinance, 2016 was promulgated by the President on Thursday, according to an official notification issued on Friday.

The BJP has sought equal number of portfolios as the PDP. In the earlier Cabinet, the PDP had 11 portfolios while the BJP had seven.

"The Modi Government should bestow the award on Savarkar. Shiv Sena has raised this issue several times in the past. We are still fighting for Savarkar, but BJP is keeping distance from Shiv Sena over the issue," Uddhav said.

Rs 1,068 crore has been alloted to the area of women safety, security and empowerment and a plan outlay of Rs 1,381 crore for social security and welfare schemes.

The Centre has also secured the report from Uttarakhand Governor KK Paul on the latest situation in the state triggered by the revolt of the MLAs on March 18.
