New Delhi: Criticising transfer of an Haryana IAS officer probing alleged undervaluation of properties dealt with by Robert Vadra, BJP on Tuesday said Congress is suffering from an "emergency mindset" and demanded that an impartial inquiry be held into the matter.
"Congress is in complete shambles and in doldrums. It is trying to save Robert Vadra. We want an honest and impartial probe into the charges. An honest officer with integrity who has decided to take suo moto action has been transferred. That too at 10 pm," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said.
He maintained that instead of acting further on the actions taken by Khemka, the Hooda government has taken action against him. Khemka had only spent two months in his last posting. "This transfer shows the emergency mindset of the Congress," Javadekar said.
The Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government in Haryana transferred Ashok Khemka, director general, consolidations of holdings and land records in the wake of his decision to probe alleged undervaluation of properties dealt with by Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
