Uma Bharti said that she would fulfill the responsibility given to her by the party.
New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Uma Bharti will contest the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections from the Charkari seat in Bundelkhand.
BJP president Nitin Gadkari announced the candidature of the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister for the UP polls.
He said that Uma would not just contest the elections but would also be the star campaigner for the party.
Speaking about her candidature, Bharti said that she would fulfill the responsibility given to her by the party.
"I have been made a candidate. The party has given me a responsibility, I will fulfill it," said Bharti.
