58. Pawai is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Khajuraho Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Pawai falls in Panna district and Vindhya Pradesh region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,56,929 voters in the seat, which includes 1,35,041 male voters, and 1,21,886 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Pawai recorded a voter turnout of 77.46%. In 2013 the turnout was 72.42%, and in 2008 it was 72.39%.
In 2013, Pandit Mukesh Nayak of INC won the seat by a margin of 11,695 votes (6.69%). Pandit Mukesh Nayak secured 45.15% of the total votes polled.
