New Delhi: Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Thursday ruled out the possibility of a rollback on the decision of the Cabinet to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh. "I do not see any possibility of going back on Telangana issue," Shinde said.

However, he assured that justice will be done to the people in the state and suggestions will be heard and kept in mind. "A Group of Ministers (GoM) will listen to the stakeholders then it will go to the Cabinet and thereafter to the President," he said.

The Union Cabinet had on October 3 cleared the Telangana note sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs bringing an end to the 50-year-old fight for Telangana. It was also declared that both Telangana and Seemandhra will be sharing Hyderabad as a joint capital for the next 10 years. After that the rest of Andhra will have to establish its own capital.

Soon after the declaration by the Cabinet, protests erupted against the decision to divide the state. Six union ministers including Textiles Minister KK Samba Siva Rao, Minister of State for Railways Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy, Human Resources Development Minister Pallam Raju, Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi had tendered their resignations.

YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy had gone on an indefinite hunger which ended on Wednesday after police took him into precventive custody after his health deteriorated. He has been admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu who is also fasting against the division has entered the fourth day of his fast.
