The district Magistrate of Noida has issued an order prohibiting Namaz at a public park in Noida Sector 58. Further the police wrote to the MNCs in the area that if any employee from the company participates, the organisation would be vicariously liable.
The district Magistrate of Noida has issued an order prohibiting Namaz at a public park in Noida Sector 58. Further the police wrote to the MNCs in the area that if any employee from the company participates, the organisation would be vicariously liable. Now the DM has clarified and assured that companies would not be held liable. However, the prohibition to offer namaz at public park continues. The DM futher said that the decision was taken due to the law and order concerns and in line with the Supreme Court judgment of 2009. A police station in Noida had sent notices to 23 private firms asking them to stop their Muslim employees from offering Friday prayers at a local park.
