129. Multai is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Betul (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Multai falls in Betul district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.

There are a total of 2,12,979 voters in the seat, which includes 1,10,647 male voters, and 1,02,324 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Multai recorded a voter turnout of 80.36%. In 2013 the turnout was 77.01%, and in 2008 it was 70.57%.

In 2013, Chandrashekhar Desmukh of BJP won the seat by a margin of 31,869 votes (21.16%). Chandrashekhar Desmukh secured 56% of the total votes polled.

INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 2,891 votes (2.51%), registering 38.38% of the total votes polled.
