12. Mehgaon is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Bhind (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Mehgaon falls in Bhind district and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,55,008 voters in the seat, which includes 1,42,836 male voters, and 1,12,171 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Mehgaon recorded a voter turnout of 63.9%. In 2013 the turnout was 61.67%, and in 2008 it was 60.12%.
In 2013, Choudhary Mukesh Singh Chaturvedi of BJP won the seat by a margin of 1,273 votes (0.9%). Choudhary Mukesh Singh Chaturvedi secured 21.08% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 5,344 votes (4.22%), registering 26.56% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led in the Mehgaon Assembly segment of the Bhind (SC) Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
