82. Keshkal is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Kanker (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Keshkal falls in Kondagaon district and South region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,85,474 voters in the seat, which includes 91,032 male voters, and 94,441 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Keshkal recorded a voter turnout of 81.73%. In 2013 the turnout was 83.35%, and in 2008 it was 70.66%.
In 2013, Santram Netam of INC won the seat by a margin of 8,689 votes (6.13%). Santram Netam secured 37.99% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 8,614 votes (7.73%), registering 41.3% of the total votes polled.
