Delhi elections: Opposition attacks Kiran Bedi for joining BJP
Bedi joined BJP on Thursday in New Delhi in the presence of party President Amit Shah and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

New Delhi: Launching a scathing attack on former IPS officer Kiran Bedi for joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress leader Ajay Maken on Thursday said, "It's a very surprising decision by Kiran Bedi. She used Anna Hazare to fulfil her political ambitions."

On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal welcomed Bedi into politics, "I have been fond of Kiran Bedi ji and always tried to convince her that she should join politics, I am happy she did today," he tweeted.

AAP leader Yogendra Yadav said, "Well done BJP! Saved two birds with one #KiranBedi Saved BJP from Satish Upadhyay disaster Saved Modi from direct blame for Delhi defeat."

Bedi joined BJP on Thursday in New Delhi in the presence of party President Amit Shah and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Bedi, who was associated with Anna Hazare's anti corruption movement, is likely to be pitted against Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi constituency in the Assembly elections.
