On the last day of the ongoing budget session of the Parliament, a ‘Motion of Thanks’ will be presented in the Parliament on the construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Saturday. The ruling BJP is all set to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling the aspirations of crores of Hindus, who were waiting to see the temple being built.
According to sources, the Motion of Thanks on Ram Mandir in Lok Sabha will begin from 11 am, while the discussion in Rajya Sabha will start from 3 pm. The BJP has also issued a whip to all its members in both houses to attend the motion.
It has been learnt that PM Modi is likely to speak at around 5 pm in the Lok Sabha to conclude the budget session ahead of the elections. With the end of the budget session, the term of the 17th Lok Sabha will also end.
“Normally the last day of Parliament means early sine die, but tomorrow will be a full working day and is expected to end only around 6 PM for which the MPs have been asked to present in Parliament all day,” a top source informed News18.
“A motion is being brought under Rule 193 in the Lok Sabha by the Baghpat MP Dr Satyapal Singh and the same will be seconded by the Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi and BJP MP Santosh Pandey from Chhattisgarh,” the source added.
More than 4-5 hours will be devoted in the Lok Sabha to discuss the issue, which will be followed by a reply. “A senior union minister, the likes of Rajnath Singh or Amit Shah may reply at the end of the discussion,” another source said.
The motion in the Rajya Sabha will be moved by K Lakshman and will be seconded by Sudhanshu Trivedi and Rakesh Sinha under Rule 176.
Crores of Hindus demanded and waited for the Ram Mandir to be constructed. After 500 years, the dream of the people was realised after the Pran Prathishta of the Ram Lalla on January 22.
With the approval of the apex court, the temple was built by the PM Modi-led government in record time. More than 8000 VIPs and VVIPs, including famous film personalities, industrialists, etc attended the grand ceremony. Since the consecration of the Ram Temple, lakhs of devotees have been queueing up at the temple to get darshan.
