New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party's video on Vadra. Speaking to CNN-IBN, Hooda said, "There is nothing in the film and this is just an attempt to defame a particular person and a particular family. As far as Haryana is concerned, no favour has been shown to anyone."
This came after the BJP on Sunday released a video targeting Robert Vadra where it questioned his land deals in Rajasthan and Haryana. The saffron party alleged that Vadra's land deals were in clear violation of land regulations which amounts to corruption.
It alleged that the 'Vadra model' has become successful due to the patronage provided by the Gandhi family to him. BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and the then Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot to save their posts were eager to help Vadra. There was a gross violation of laws relating to land and environment. The influence of the family helped make Vadra big earnings in the deals."
The six-page booklet released by BJP earlier in the day titled 'Damad Shree' refers to the various deals of Vadra in Rajasthan and Haryana.
