Am Desperate to go to People But Court Cases Tying me Down, Says Lalu Yadav
Tejashwi is scheduled to start his Yatra from Champaran on Wednesday where he will “seek forgiveness” in front of Mahatma Gandhi's memorial for his party's decision to support Nitish in 2015.

Patna: Backing his son Tejashwi Yadav's state-wide 'Janadesh Apmaan Yatra' starting Wednesday, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday said that he was to desperate to go to the people but his hands were tied as he has to appear before courts frequently.

Lalu slammed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for 'betraying' the RJD and siding with BJP to form a new government in the state. Lalu Prasad said it was contempt of the mandate people gave to the Mahagathbandhan against the BJP in 2015 assembly elections.

The RJD chief said his younger son and former deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will travel the length and breadth of the state to expose Nitish's opportunistic tactics.

Tejashwi is scheduled to start his Yatra from Champaran on Wednesday where he will “seek forgiveness” in front of Mahatma Gandhi's memorial for his party's decision to support Nitish in 2015.

Lalu Prasad also took a jibe at Nitish's back-to-back review meetings of various departments and termed it “nautanki” which had nothing to do with development.

"This is the system that works. Departments and machinery start implementation once the agenda is set, but Nitish is calling officers and ministers for gossip. He is doing time-pass as nearest election (2019 Lok Sabha polls) is almost two years away," he said.
