WhatsApp, the instant messaging app, is continuously working to improve its recently introduced Channels feature. Now, a new report from WABetaInfo, revealed that the Meta-owned platform is releasing a feature to allow users to quickly copy channel update links.

“After announcing a search feature aimed to help people quickly search for status updates and channels with the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.20.13 update, WhatsApp is now exploring new improvements regarding this feature to enhance the user experience,” said WABetaInfo.

The screenshot shared in the report revealed that there may be a new option within the message options that allows users to copy the channel update link. It enables users to immediately open the channel by presenting the message the link was associated with, making it easier for them not to lose the context of the update.

It’s important to note that you do not need to be the channel creator to get a channel update link as this feature is available to all users with access to the channel.

The report suggested that this feature is beneficial as it allows users to quickly share important updates from the channel with other people, without manually forwarding the update.

You can easily share the channel update outside of WhatsApp by copying the link, making it convenient for everyone to access the update and refer to the specific message they need, without having to search through the entire channel history.

The feature to copy channel update links is available to some users who install the latest update of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app and WhatsApp beta for Android from the Play Store, and it’s rolling out to more users over the coming days.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a new reply bar feature for quickly responding to images, videos, and GIFs. The new reply bar feature will become available when viewing images or videos in a conversation after users install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.20.20 update from the Google Play Store
