Ahead of the final of 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup between India and Australia, the Suryakiran aerobatics team of the Indian Air Force put on a spectacular show in the lead up to the the title clash between the two rivals being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The team dazzled the 92,000-strong crowd which resembled an ocean of blue as the fans gathered in record numbers for the title clash.

Australia captain Pat Cummins won the toss and surprisingly, opted to bowl first. Experts were advising the team winning toss to bat first on what is expected to be a slow pitch with low bounce.
However, Cummins reckoned that dew might come into play later in the game which will ease his batters’ job.
“Looks like a dry wicket. Dew is a factor. It gets better to bat on. Tough start to the tournament, haven’t really put a foot wrong ever since,” Cummins said at the toss.
India captain Rohit Sharma was happy to bat first though.
“I would have batted first. Looks a good pitch, big game, put runs on the board. It’s going to be amazing, every time we play here, the crowd come out in large numbers,” Rohit said.
India won all their 10 matches in the lead up to the final. They topped the league stage before outclassing New Zealand in the semi-final earlier this week at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
On the other hand, Australia suffered a couple of blows at the start of their campaign, losing to India and South Africa before making a fine recovery. They posted eight wins in a row including a semi-final triumph over South Africa to set up the title clash with hosts India.
