With just a few days remaining for the IPL mini-auction, the BCCI has released the list of players who will go under the hammer on December 19 in Dubai. The auction will be held for the first time outside India.
The IPL Governing Council handed the franchises a list of 1166 and afterwards, it was pruned to 333.
Out of them, 214 are Indians and 119 are overseas with two from associate nations.
Meanwhile, Rs 2 crore remains the highest base price in the auction as 23 players are slotted in the category. 13 players have put their names in the auction list with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore.
The likes of Wanindu Hasaranga, Tim Southee and James Neesham have put their name in the second-best bracket. Hasaranga, who was the big buy for RCB in the IPL 2022 mega auction – Rs 10.75 crore was released from the franchise. He also missed the WC this year due to an injury.
The Sri Lanka leggie will be under the radar of several franchises and he might hit the paydirt once again alongside other players in the same category.
