In the brutally competitive world of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), where students’ ambitions soar and dreams are put to the ultimate test, a young prodigy emerged as an example of unparalleled achievement. Hailing from a farmer’s family in Bihar, Satyam Kumar set out on an incredible journey which started at the remarkably young age of 12. Aspirants are known to devote a great deal of study time, tremendous effort, and sometimes several attempts in the attempt to pass the Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE). Satyam was no different when he studied in Kota, Rajasthan, the battleground for JEE preparations. At the age of 13, Satyam cracked the Joint Entrance Examination.

In 2012, when he was barely 12 years old, he made his IIT-JEE debut and scored an exceptional 8,137 on the All India Rank (AIR). Satyam chose to accept the challenge again, nevertheless, driven by an unshakable drive for success. At 13 years old, he not only surpassed his own record in the 2013 exam but also made history when he became the youngest Indian to pass the IIT-JEE with an AIR of 670.

Satyam broke the record set by Sahal Kaushik of Delhi, who accomplished the same feat in 2010 at the age of 14. Not only had Satyam mastered the secret to success, but he had done so with an exceptional flair.

Satyam pursued a BTech – MTech dual degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur after excelling in IIT-JEE, which he completed in 2018. Despite his early successes, he was not deterred and, at the age of 24, enrolled at the University of Texas in Austin to pursue a PhD. Satyam Kumar’s academic patch reached new heights, and according to his LinkedIn page, he is currently employed by tech giant Apple as a Machine Learning Intern.

Satyam’s trajectory served as testimony of his unshakable will and constant perseverance. A native of the Bhojpur area of Bihar, he overcame obstacles as a child and used education to pave the way for success.
