After launching its latest iPhone 15 series smartphones and smartwatches last month, the Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is reportedly set to launch a new low-cost 11th-generation iPad on October 17, Tuesday (today). You can also expect a third-generation Apple Pencil with interchangeable magnetic tips for drawing, technical drawing, and digital painting.
According to leaker named Majin Bu, the new iPad will have the same design as the 10th-generation model, and said that accessories will be perfectly compatible.
The leaker last week claimed that Apple would debut a third-generation Apple Pencil with interchangeable magnetic tip.
“Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said on Sunday that while new iPads are in development, new models are not expected this month, while reports from 9to5Mac and Supercharged News claimed that Apple plans to introduce new iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad models as soon as Tuesday,” MacRumors reported.
However, a Japanese site Mac Otakara reported that Apple doesn’t have plans to introduce new iPads, but will debut a new Apple Pencil 3 instead.
According to MacRumors, Majin Bu’s report about the upcoming 11th-generation iPad doesn’t include any information about the iPad Air or iPad Mini. Additionally, the report hints at the possibility of new compatible accessories, potentially including a new Apple Pencil, as previously speculated by Mac Otakara.
Meanwhile, a new report from Morgan Stanley said that Apple’s quarterly iPad revenue will significantly decline in the fourth quarter of 2023 on a year-over-year basis.
“Apple will report iPad revenue of $7.2 billion in the fourth quarter of 2023, which would be a decline of approximately 23 per cent compared to the $9.4 billion that Apple reported for the segment in the year-ago quarter,” the report said. In related news, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently claimed that the iPhone maker is also planning to bring at least four new MacBook models with M3-series chips in 2024. These new MacBook models are also expected to feature minor design changes as well.
