Actress Kriti Sanon on Tuesday, October 17, won the National Film Award in the Best Actress category for her performance in the film Mimi. While she was declared the winner earlier in August, she was bestowed with the award at a ceremony held in Delhi on Tuesday. Kriti made her acting debut alongside Tiger Shroff in the film Heropanti. The actor has now reacted to Kriti’s big win.
Tiger said, “Kriti just won a National Award. In Heropanti woh chhoti bachi thi (she was a small girl), now she has become a superstar. I don’t know why this dialogue, ‘Chhoti bachi ho kya’ went viral… But I’m very happy, it has been an amazing experience working with Kriti Sanon, she has not changed. She has become such a big star and she is still the same as how she was in Heropanti. We are working after nine years but it didn’t seem like that, it seems we just worked yesterday. Nothing has changed.”
Tiger and Kriti will soon be seen together on screen again in the film Ganpath. Talking about their latest collaboration, Tiger said, “Ganapath is a different film for me, we are trying to show a new world, it has a different kind of action, it has a beautiful love story and finally working with my heroine, Kriti Sanon after Heropanti, after nine years. I was very excited to work with her. I’m excited for you all to watch Ganpath, hope you guys enjoy it.”
Ganpath also stars Amitabh Bachchan, however, Tiger revealed that he has no scenes in the film with the superstar. Tiger said, “Unfortunately, I didn’t get to do scenes or share screen space with him. But just being in the same film with him is a big honour for me, as it is for any actor who gets to share the screen with a living legend like him. I’m blessed and grateful that I had this opportunity.”
Directed by Vikas Bahl, Ganpath is scheduled to be released on screens on Friday, October 20.
