The trailer of Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan starrer Shaitaan is finally out. It was released on Thursday at an event in Mumbai which was also attended by the two actors. Shaitaan is an edge-of-the-seat supernatural thriller and presents Ajay and R Madhavan in their intense avatars. In Shaitaan, R Madhavan takes over Ajay Devgn’s daughter like she’s a ‘puppet’. During the trailer launch, Ajay and Madhavan were asked if they had ever experienced hypnosis.
Ajay said, “Mere saath aise case hue hai. Pehle hum jab outdoor (schedules) mein jaate the. Recently nahi hua. First 10-12 years, we have seen it all. (I’ve personally experienced such cases during outdoor shoots. It hasn’t happened to me recently but we have seen it all in the first 10-12 years of my career).”
R Madhavan said, “Haan. Kai baar hua hai. Vashikaran har roz hota hai. Social media vashikaran kar leta hai. Blue whale ne teenagers ko apne vash mein kar liya tha. Yeh har roz hota hai isliye bachke rehna chahiye. (Yes, it has happened a lot of times. Hypnosis happens every day. Social media does hypnosis. Blue Whale had teenagers hypnotized. It happens every day and we should stay alert).”
Ajay Devgn announced Shaitaan earlier this year. The film is presented by Jio Studios, Devgn Films and Panorama Studios. It is being produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and directed by Vikas Bahl.
Shaitaan marks Jyotika’s first Bollywood film in 25 years. She made her acting debut with Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, in Hindi, back in 1997. She then explored the Tamil film industry and made a mark for herself in the South. She returned to Bollywood in 2001 for the bilingual film Little John. The film is set to hit theatres on March 8, 2024.
Meanwhile, besides Shaitaan, Ajay Devgn will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham 3 aka Singham Again this year. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone. Ajay also has Raid 2 in the kitty. The actor is also waiting to release his sports film, Maidaan.
