Sam Bahadur: Alia Bhatt Recalls Vicky Kaushal's Reaction To The Film's Story: 'A Twinkle In His Eye...'
Meghna Gulzar had narrated the story of Sam Bahadur to Vicky Kaushal on the sets of Raazi, that also starred Alia Bhatt.

It’s been 5 years since Meghna Gulzar spy thriller hit, Raazi, featuring actress Alia Bhatt as an undercover Indian spy who led India to its victory in the 1971 war against Pakistan, released. It also starred Vicky Kaushal. As the filmmaker gears up for her next release with Vicky again at the helm of it, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to lend her support. Raazi, to this day, holds a special place in many fans’ hearts.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Alia wrote, adding a heart emoji, “I remember the day @meghnagulzar told us the story of Sam on the sets of Raazi.. Vicky sat there.. a twinkle in his eye.. hoping to one day be Sam., And wow.. just wow! @vickykaushal09 can’t wait to see this one.”

Vicky, sharing the post, replied, “Can never forget that day. Thank you Alia. So sweet of you!”

Meanwhile, Sam Bahadur is all set to clash with Alia’s husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Speaking of it at the teaser launch of the film, Vicky said it’s about him the industry normalised such clashes. “I think that Friday, we are eventually gonna hand over our films to the audience. It will be the audiences’ day more than our day. Like Ronnie pointed out, in today’s time, we, as an industry, should give the option of multiple films on the same day to the audience. That’s how we will flourish as an industry. We have those many weeks in a year, but as an industry, we cannot limit ourselves to making those many films in a year. We will have to make multiple films and we will have multiple releases on the same day. We have to build an atmosphere where multiple films can work on the same day. We have the strength in the audience, we have the strength at the exhibitor level, so, why not? I think we kind of also need to push the envelope now. Given today’s scenario, the excitement that the the audiences have, I think, if they resonate with two films and both the films are good, both can work. So, I am as excited for Animal as anybody else. As long as it is great for the audience. We work for them,” he said.
