Virat Kohli recently scored his 49th century, helping India beat SA at the 2023 World Cup. Now a throwback video from a 2012 party is going viral, where Salman Khan had asked Sachin Tendulkar, about who would break his 100 centuries record and the latter had predicted that Virat Kohli would.
Back in 2012, a star studded celebration was held to celebrate Sachin Tendulkar’s 100 centuries. Salman Khan who attended the same, had asked Sachin, “Who do you think will break your 100 century record?”. Sachin then responded saying, “I see many youngsters in the back. They can break my record. Virat (Kohli) and Rohit (Sharma) are the ones. As long as an Indian breaks my record, I don’t mind.”
Sachin Tendulkar is, to date, the only cricketer who has scored 100 centuries across all cricket formats [49 in One day international (ODI) and 51 in test matches]. Virat Kohli recently equalled Tendulkar’s record for most ODI centuries.
Virat Kohli’s victory was well appreciated by his wife, actress Anushka Sharma. She shared a photo from the milestone moment with an adorable caption. Taking to her Instagram stories, Anushka shared a picture in which he is seen kissing to his bat after hitting the century.
“Apne birthday pe khud ko gift,” she wrote, followed with a heart emojis. This was Virat’s 49th ODI century. He has equalled the record of Sachin Tendulkar. Virat scored the century of 119 balls. Not only Anushka but Ranveer Singh and many other Bollywood stars also celebrated his milestone.
Coming back to Salman Khan, he is currently gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated Tiger 3. The movie will also star Katrina Kaif in the lead role. The film is all set to hit the theatres on Diwali i.e November 12.
Tiger 3 marks the third film in Yash Raj Films’ OG spy franchise. It is directed by Maneesh Sharma. While fans are eager to see Tiger (played by Salman Khan) and Zoya (played by Katrina Kaif) reunite on the big screen, many are also looking forward to seeing Pathaan’s cameo in the film. It is being said that Shah Rukh Khan will make a special appearance in Tiger 3 in the same way that Salman’s Tiger appeared in Pathaan. However, details about SRK’s cameo in Tiger 3 are still unknown. Tiger 3 also stars Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist, along with Kumud Mishra, Revathi, Riddhi Dogra and Anant Vidhaat.
