Ranbir Kapoor also revealed that Animal songs Arjan Vaily and Satranga are among his favourites.

Ranbir Kapoor is currently enjoying the success of his recently released movie, Animal. While his wild avatar in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is being widely loved by all, in a recent interview, the actor revealed that he is not ‘animalistic’ in real life. “Nothing too animalistic, I’m a simple man,” Ranbir said when asked about his favourites as quoted by India Today.

Ranbir further revealed that Animal songs Arjan Vaily and Satranga are among his favourites. He also shared that he enjoys listening to Softly by Karan Aujla and Agar Tum Saath Ho from his 2015 release Tamasha, which also starred Deepika Padukone in the lead.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal revolves around a man and his toxic relationship with his father. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, it shows Vijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero who would go to any lengths to protect his father. However, despite his efforts, he struggles to get a seal of approval from his emotionally unavailable father (played by Anil Kapoor). His unhealthy relationship with his father impacts his relationship with his wife (played by Rashmika Mandanna).

Several celebrities including Ram Gopal Varma, Karan Johar, Riddhima Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Allu Arjun among others have also praised Animal. The film has also been accused of glorifying misogyny and toxic masculinity by several social media users. However, despite everything, the film is going immensely well at the box office. It is inching close to the Rs 500 crore mark at the Indian box office.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayana. While he will be playing the role of Ram in this upcoming movie, Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. KGF star Yash is likely to play Ravana in the movie, whereas Sunny Deol is in talks for the role of Hanuman. Ramayana will go on floors next year.
