Former Bollywood actress-politician Jaya Prada has courted controversy several times. Now, a new non-bailable warrant has been issued for the actress by Rampur court. They have reportedly issued several warrants before, but she failed to appear in the court. Jaya Prada has been accused of violating the code of conduct during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, for which the warrant has been issued 6 times before that. The case against Jaya Prada was registered at the Swar and Kemari police stations. Jaya Prada has since avoided appearing in the court, and is reportedly absconding.
Reports further state that she has been on a run for the past few months now. Her bail agreements have been seized by the court, and the next hearing is scheduled on January 25, 2024. The hearing will take place in the MP-MLA court of Rampur, Uttar Pradesh.
Jaya is accused of inaugurating a road at the Noorpur village, after the model code of conduct was enforced. She was also accused of making offensive statements at a meeting, which was held in the Pipliya Mishra village, in the Kemari area. Now, both of the cases are being presented at the special MP-MLA court. Reports say that 7 non-bailable warrants have been issued against the former actress, so far.
Reportedly, orders have been given to the SP (Superintendent of Police) for her arrest. While the police have already raided her properties, they have gone as far as Mumbai, and Delhi, searching for her. During the Lok Sabha elections in 2019,Jaya Prada contested from Rampur, on a ticket from BJP, but lost.
