'Keep Your Head On Ground': Kedar Shinde's Birthday Message For Daughter Sana Shinde
Sana has worked as an assistant director under her father Kedar Shinde.

In April this year, the highly anticipated Marathi film Maharashtra Shahir was released, shedding light on the life of the legendary Marathi folk artist, Padma Shri Shahir Sable. Directed by Shahir Sable’s grandson, Kedar Shinde, the film marked the debut of Kedar’s daughter, Sana Shinde, as an adult leading actress. While Sana had previously made her appearance as a child artist in the film Aga Bai Arrecha!, Maharashtra Shahir was her first foray into the world of cinema, where she portrayed the onscreen wife of her great-grandfather. Sana’s performance in this mature role garnered widespread appreciation from audiences and critics alike.

Sana Shinde recently celebrated her 25th birthday on October 18, marking a significant milestone in her personal and professional journey. On this special occasion, her father and mentor, Kedar Shinde, shared a heartwarming message dedicated to her. Accompanied by a photo of Sana wearing a traditional Marathmola saree, Kedar expressed his wishes and words of wisdom in Marathi. He wrote, “Happy birthday Sana and grow up to be successful. Keep your head on the ground and your feet beneath the ground. Follow this during times of both success and failure. These days too shall pass. May Sri Swami’s grace be with you forever. They will take care of you.”

Sana Shinde’s journey into the world of Marathi cinema includes her work as an assistant director under her father’s guidance. She played a pivotal role in assisting her father during the production of this year’s hit film, Baipan Bhaari Deva. Kedar Shinde emphasized that Sana’s involvement in Maharashtra Shahir was not solely due to their familial relationship. He explained to News 18 that Sana was cast in the film because she had the talent and potential to excel in the role. He encouraged her not to feel pressured to meet external expectations and advised her to focus solely on immersing herself in her character.

The film’s writer is Rajesh Varma, with Renadive handling the cinematography, and Shyam Sasidharan in charge of editing. Audiography is under the expertise of Vishnu Govind, while Dileep Nath leads the art direction. Ronex Xavier is the makeup artist, and Praveen Varma takes care of costume design. Siby Jose Chalissery holds the role of chief associate director, and Obscura Entertainment is responsible for marketing planning.
