Did You Know Chunky Panday Made Lady Gaga Sing 'Birthday Song' For Ananya Panday?
Chunky Panday is a doting father to Ananya Panday, whose film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan was loved by critics and audiences alike.

While Chunky Panday has been part of some interesting films in his career, he is also a doting father to Ananya Panday. The Liger actor has time and again expressed his affection for his daughter and hence, in a recent instance, he revealed how he made Lady Gaga sing ‘Happy Birthday’ for Ananya.

In an excerpt from Rashmi Uchil’s book Raising Stars, Chunky Panday shared, “Ananya was part of our very first wedding anniversary. We do not know life as a married couple without Ananya. I have pampered both my girls and my niece so much. I have set the bar too high. It will be very difficult for their boyfriends to match. I got Lady Gaga to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ for Ananya on her birthday. If her boyfriend can manage to do that, I will consider him to be worthy enough to get lucky with Ananya. I’m a-joking. I’m not rich enough to get Lady Gaga to sing for me. It so happened that Ananya and her friends had accompanied me to the Grand Prix in Delhi. Lady Gaga was there to perform for the inaugural ceremony. I told her that it was Ananya’s birthday and she spontaneously broke into a song. All those present joined her and sang along, ‘Happy Birthday to you.’ It was a very sweet gesture on her part. She made Ananya’s day.”

Ananya Panday’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan released on Netflix on December 26. The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav as the leads and is about the “digital coming of age” of three best friends. News18’s review of the film reads, “At 2 hours 14 minutes, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan makes for a breezy watch. The film might not be too heavy on plot, but the characters and their individual and collective journeys drive the narrative forward. And despite the lack of big events unfolding, the film keeps you hooked throughout. The narrative rarely drops pace and the credit for the same goes to its writers. Its album might not be its strongest suit but the songs are seamlessly blended into the plot.”

“The film also sees some strong performances by its cast. Ananya Panday plays Ahana with aplomb and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call it her best performance… She shares an easy camaraderie with Siddhant Chaturvedi, who plays Imaad, and Adarsh Gourav, who essays Neil. The boys too bring a lot of subtlety and realness to their characters and they do complete justice to them,” the review also mentioned.
