BTS member Jungkook has thrilled fans with the announcement of his upcoming solo digital single, 3D, for which he has collaborated with American singer Jack Harlow. The announcement came during Golden Maknae’s performance at the Global Citizen Festival and was later confirmed on the global fandom platform Weverse. The highly anticipated single is scheduled for release on September 29. This single comes out months after Jungkook’s debut solo track, SEVEN featuring Latto, made waves by reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and No. 3 on the UK official chart in July. To add to the excitement, BigHit Music has dropped a new set of some futuristic concept photos of the singer before the song’s release on Friday that is sure to leave ARMYs thrilled.
In the agency’s latest release of concept photos, Jungkook’s captivating appearance steals the spotlight. These fresh images showcase a contemporary aesthetic, set against a backdrop of striking silver and blue tones. Jungkook’s innate glamour and distinctive style shine brightly, building anticipation among fans for his upcoming single. Interestingly, while the initial set of photos was labelled as “1D,” this second set has been titled “2D.”

After what appeared to be the conclusion of his performance, a mysterious teaser video for the song suddenly lit up the screen, surprising the audience and creating a wave of excitement. Later, even BigHit Music confirmed the exciting news, further fuelling anticipation among fans.
As per Soompi, the agency in a statement said, “Jungkook’s second solo single, ‘3D (featuring Jack Harlow),’ is a pop R&B track with clever expressions of feelings toward an unattainable person from the perspectives of first, second, and third dimensions. Get ready to meet an even more mature side of Jungkook following Seven (featuring Latto).”
The announcement was accompanied by several promotional materials, including a Hero Film teaser, a Hero Film 2 teaser and 1D concept photos.
During a previous interview on Suga’s talk show, Suchwita, the BTS singer had already dropped hints about his future music plans. He revealed his intention to release another single, followed by a compact mini-album. Jungkook expressed his anticipation for these upcoming songs, suggesting that fans can expect to hear them by November.
