Glenn Maxwell storms up the charts in the run-scoring charts following his double century versus Afghanistan while Adam Zampa sits at the second spot in the wicket-taking charts.

After the sensational heroics by Australia’s Glenn Maxwell, the Australian now finds himself in the top-10 charts for the highest run-scorer in the World Cup 2023. He managed to single-handedly carry Australia to victory following his brilliant double-century against Afghanistan. He now sits at the sixth spot in the charts just below Rohit Sharma despite having played one less game compared to the ones at the top.

Quinton de Kock finds himself at the top of the run-scoring charts. The batter has had a sensational tournament so far having scored over 500 runs which includes four centuries for South Africa.

Not too far behind you have India’s very own Virat Kohli who also has had a fantastic tournament for India and has scored two tons and four half-centuries. After his double hundred, Maxwell now finds himself below the Indian skipper and could also go all the way to the top with the rate at which he is going. He had also scored a century before as well for Australia.

In the bowling charts, you have Australia’s Adam Zampa who managed to have a relatively quiet outing against Afghanistan, picking up just one wicket in the game against Afghanistan. Sri Lanka’s Dilshan Madushanka is one of the positives for the side who has been outstanding for the side picking up wickets with the new ball regularly for the Sri Lankan side.

India’s Mohammed Shami also has had a fantastic tournament so far having picked up two five-wicket hauls and wickets at crucial stages despite having only featured in just four games in the tournament so far. He now looks to have sealed his spot in the playing eleven with Hardik Pandya ruled out of the tournament due to injury.

After Australia’s iconic win over Afghanistan on November 7, 2023, all eyes will be on England as they take on the Netherlands with Champions Trophy qualification on the line as both sides meet at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Wednesday, November 8.
