Udwin's controversial BBC documentary 'India's Daughter' features an interview of one of four men sentenced to death in the December 16 gangrape case.

The original 'Katha' was directed by Sai Paranjpye and starred Naseeruddin Shah, Deepti Naval and Farooque Shaikh.

The film has been lapping up awards this awards season and has earned 12 nominations at the Oscars this year.

The film will also star Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev and Donnie Yen.
