The Greatest of All Time starring Thalapathy Vijay was released worldwide today. It has already created a buzz among the fans. The first show of The GOAT was screened at 9 AM in Tamil Nadu while in Kerala, the first show was held at 4 AM.
The film was released across around 700 theatres in Tamil Nadu. The state government granted permission for special screenings yesterday. It was also released in several foreign countries. Talking about the state of Karnataka, the first screening was held at 6 AM. Around seven shows will be held in Kerala in more than 500 theatres. A special screening was reportedly held for some prominent personalities who expressed their satisfaction after watching the film.
Reports indicate that fans flocked to theatres in droves from early morning to catch the highly anticipated film. In Tamil Nadu, the enthusiasm was evident as crowds began gathering the previous night, highlighting the film’s immense popularity. The same fervour was observed in Karnataka, where Vijay’s supporters eagerly queued up for a chance to see the movie. It was also reported that some fans travelled to Kerala and Karnataka to attend the film’s first screening, starting at 9 AM in Tamil Nadu. To celebrate the film’s release, Vijay’s fans marched to theatres with drums and music, creating a festive atmosphere. In several locations, fans were dancing and playing music from Vijay’s past films awaiting the movie.
Meanwhile, director Venkat Prabhu revealed on his X handle (formerly Twitter) that actor Ajith Kumar was the first person to wish Vijay success for The Goat. He expressed his gratitude mentioning that Ajith personally extended his best wishes to Vijay.

Ahead of the film’s release, the team dropped a new promo video last night to increase the excitement. It features popular actors like Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Sneha, Jayaram and Yogi Babu in leading roles. It was produced by Kalpathi S. Agoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh and Kalpathi S. Suresh.
