The actor and former Rajya Sabha member Mithun Chakraborty endured a lot of hardships when he first began working in films. Directors and producers alike made fun of his appearance and skin tone. Mithun felt self-conscious about his appearance, yet he turned out to be a fantastic performer in his acting career.

As per IMDb, Sridevi declined to participate in this movie. Sridevi did not want to work on this movie and reunite with Mithun because she wanted to put some gap between them. She removed her name from the movie for this reason. Mithun desired to collaborate with Sridevi but was taken aback after knowing her rejection. Following Sridevi’s rejection, Dimple Kapadia joined the movie.

As per media reports, Sridevi dated Mithun before her marriage to Boney Kapoor. But all of a sudden, their paths diverged. Sridevi settled down and got married to Boney Kapoor. At this point, rumours were there about Mithun’s flop films one after another. In this kind of situation, he began to lose faith in filmmaking. Following this, in the late 1990s, he moved to Ooty and began operating hotels, somewhat setting limits himself from the film industry. He did not entirely restrict his connections to the film industry. He began the second phase of his acting career in 2005 with the release of Elaan, where he played the villain role.
