Rakul Preet Singh, with her versatile acting prowess and charismatic presence, has made herself a force to be reckoned with in the Indian film industry. The beauty pageant winner made her debut in the lights-camera-action world with the Kannada film Gilli in 2009. Since then, she has carved a niche in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil cinema, making her one of the most sought-after actresses in the film industry. The diva has garnered significant attention for exuding glamour and showcasing impeccable chemistry with her co-stars. Speaking about the same during a media interaction in 2017, Rakul Preet Singh revealed her perception towards doing intimate scenes in films. On being asked if she is open to doing on-screen lip-locks, she said, “If the scene demands it, I am ready to do lip-locks. The scene should not be force-fitted into the film for the sake of publicity.”
Elaborating further, Rakul Preet Singh said, “Glamour is an important part of the film industry, and all the fans expect to see their favourite actors in glamorous attire.”
Rakul Preet Singh is all set to grace the silver screen on July 12 with her upcoming movie, Indian 2. This highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 cult classic Indian stars Kamal Haasan reprising his iconic role. Helmed by the renowned director S Shankar, this multi-starrer features a star-studded cast including Siddharth, Bobby Simha, SJ Suryah, Vivek, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and the late Nedumudi Venu.
The star will also be seen in the sequel to De De Pyaar De, starring Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. She also has Mere Husband Ki Biwi and Khiladi 1080 in her kitty. She has a yet-to-be-titled film with Ashish R Shukla in the pipeline.
Rakul Preet Singh exchanged vows with Jackky Bhagnani on February 21, surrounded by close friends and family. The dreamy wedding ceremony took place at ITC Grand South Goa. The lovebirds celebrated their union with two distinct ceremonies. Firstly, they got hitched with an Anand Karaj ceremony, honouring Rakul’s Sikh roots, followed by the Pheras in the evening to commemorate Jackky’s Sindhi heritage.
