New trailer of Tom Cruise starrer The Mummy is here and it has the wrath of an evil Mummy. The trailer is full of mystery, horror, curse and lots of explosive action. The main villain of the franchise is Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella), a vengeful Egyptian princess back from the dead to claim the world as her own and she has plans for our brave hero.
“You can’t run. You can’t escape," Jake Johnson’s Sgt. Vail tells Nick (Tom Cruise), as we see him rising back from the death, doing death-defying battle with the evil spirit.
Directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by Jon Spaihts it is a reboot of The Mummy franchise and the first instalment in the Universal Monsters Cinematic Universe which includes rebooted versions of films from the original series. The film stars Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe.
Unlike the previous versions, this reboot is riding high on patent Tom Cruise action and blasts. The film is scheduled to be released on June 9, 2017.
