Superstar Thalapathy Vijay, after the massive success of Leo, is gearing up for the release of his next highly-anticipated film GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). It is directed by Venkat Prabhu and stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. The ensemble cast also includes Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Jayaram in the prominent roles. Thalapathy Vijay will play a double role in the film. The shooting of the film is almost completed. The team has jetted off to the US for the filming of its climax scenes. Thalapathy Vijay has reportedly completed 50 percent of the dubbing of the film. In a latest update, the film’s music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has revealed that for the first time in Thalapathy Vijay’ decades-long career, he has sung two songs in one film.

Thalapathy Vijay gave the vocals for the first lyrical song of the film GOAT, titled Whistle Podu. It was released a month ago. It was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The lyrics of the viral song were penned by Madhan Karky. It is not the first time that Thalapathy Vijay has sung a song in the film, but singing two songs for one film will be the first time for an actor, a treat for his fans. Yuvan Shankar Raja revealed this during an event. “For the first time, Thalapathy has sung two songs in this film,” said Yuvan Shankar Raja. A news portal has uploaded a glimpse of the announcement through their Instagram page.

Apart from acting, Thalapathy Vijay is also a good singer. He has sung various hit songs for his films like Bombay City in Rasigan (1994), Thotta Petta in Vishnu (1995), O Baby in Kadhalukku Mariyadhai (1997) and many others.

The shooting of GOAT is moving at a brisk pace. The makers recently announced that the VFX work of the film has been completed. Lola Visual Effects who has worked VFX portions in Hollywood films like Ant-Man, Captain America: The First Avenger and The Social Network undertook the responsibility of VFX in GOAT.
