Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Jennifer Mistry SHOCKED As Sodhi Goes Missing: 'I Hope He Is Safe'

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Jennifer Mistry is left shocked after learning that her former co-star Gurucharan Singh has gone missing. Gurucharan and Jennifer used to play Mr and Mrs Sodhi in Asit Kumarr Modi’s show. While Gurucharan left the sitcom in 2020, Jennifer quit in 2023.

Jennifer was speaking to E-Times recently when she hoped that Gurucharan was safe and fine. “This is shocking and I just hope and pray that he is safe and is doing well. I just pray that there is some misunderstanding and he is doing fine. He is very spiritual and a good human being,” she said.

Asked if she was in touch with Gurucaran after leaving TMKOC, Jennifer added, “I have not been in touch with him since last June. We did not speak to each other after that. Earlier,we were in touch. He sent me a congratulatory message in February on Taarak Mehta completing 4000 episodes. Apart from that we did not message each other or were not in touch.”

The news that Gurucharan Singh has gone missing surfaced online on Friday after his father filed a complaint which read, “My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing.”

Later, News18 Showsha exclusively reported that Gurucharan’s missing complaint had been filed in the Palam area of New Delhi. We learnt that Police officials are investigating the case and trying to trace the actor’s call records. “Missing complaint was filed around 4 days back in Palam, South Delhi. Based on this, police are investigating the case. No FIR has been filed as of now. All investigation is being done based on the missing complaint,” a police source told us.

“He (Gurucharan Singh Sodhi) was last spotted near Delhi airport. Police are now trying to get his call records to know who he last spoke to on call or via message,” the insider added.

Gurcharan Singh played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi — a fun-loving man who is always in party mode and never shies away from expressing love for his wife. He was one of the popular characters on the show, and also a founding cast member. Gurcharan, however, left the show in 2013 only to return next year due to public demand. After his exit in 2020, he was replaced by actor Balwinder Singh Suri.
