Kicking off her weekend in style, Sonam Kapoor treated fans to a picture of her in the Maldives. The picture shared on her Instagram stories captured her taking a mirror selfie, set for a casual day out on the beautiful island. Sonam dressed perfectly for her beach day, looking stunning in a black monokini with a denim shirt as the cover-up. She also carried a tote bag to complete her beachwear look. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “All legs and a denim jacket and tote..”

Hours before, Sonam Kapoor also offered a peek into what her “breakfast of champions” looks like. The image added to her Instagram stories featured her hand filled with pills. A closer look at the picture and you will also notice a pill box, placed there.

Post becoming a mother, Sonam has not been seen in many movies but remains in the limelight with her off-screen appearances. Last month, Sonam Kapoor expressed her affinity for roles that are adapted from books while speaking at MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. Sonam, who is the brand ambassador for Word to Screen at MAMI, said, “As an actor, I have always believed that a film is only as good as its script. It is imperative to encourage writers and publishers through an ecosystem like Word to Screen where they can ideate and collaborate with filmmakers.”

“As an avid reader, I am often drawn to roles that have been adapted from books. Such characters also bring a depth that is important to their evolution from paper to screen.” Sonam Kapoor added.

On September 2, Sonam also divulged that she would start filming for her first project post-pregnancy early next year. Sharing the news with media portals, she said, “I’m super excited to face the camera again post my pregnancy. I love being an actor and I love living so many interesting characters through my profession. Human beings fascinate me and I love playing varied roles. I’m looking forward to my next.”

The project will reportedly stream on a global platform and the details of the same have been kept under wraps. Sonam Kapoor’s last film was the crime thriller Blind, released in 2023. A remake of the 2011 Korean film, it was directed by Shome Makhija and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, marking Sonam’s return to the screen after a six-year break.
