KBS is passé. Ted Talks Hindi is the show that is set to capture the country’s imagination as superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to take the role of the host in the new show. To be aired on Star Plus, Ted Talks India will be in Hindi and will have SRK interacting and engaging with speakers from various walks of life.
Titled as TED Talks India: Nayi Soch, the talks will feature speakers from all walks of life sharing big ideas in TED's signature format. The speakers will present their story in 18 minutes or less. SRK on his part, as a host, will be seen interacting with the speakers post their sessions.
According to an official statement, the show will start from summer this year. The exact launch date and the names of the first few speakers has been kept under wraps. The show will reportedly have musical performances as well to make it more entertaining as well as informative.
TED says this is the first time it is collaborating with a major network and mega-star to produce a TV series featuring original TED Talks in a language other than English.
