In a debut that mirrors his cinematic successes, Khan’s net worth has been pegged at an impressive Rs 7,300 crore, securing his place among India’s wealthiest.
Khan’s substantial fortune is not solely due to his successful production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, but also his significant stake in the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders. The increasing value of this sports investment has been a major contributor to his entry on the list.
In addition to his financial triumphs, Shah Rukh Khan has played a pivotal role in reviving Bollywood’s box office fortunes at a time when the industry was struggling for a hit. His return to the silver screen with ‘Pathaan’ marked a significant comeback after a four-year break following the disappointing performance of ‘Zero’. *Pathaan* broke records, amassing Rs 543.09 crore in domestic net collections and a staggering Rs 1,055 crore globally.
Following ‘Pathaan’, Khan delivered yet another blockbuster with ‘Jawan’, which outperformed its predecessor by raking in Rs 640.25 crore in India and Rs 1,160 crore worldwide. With his soaring net worth, Shah Rukh Khan has surpassed industry peers like Juhi Chawla and her family (Rs 4,600 crore), Hrithik Roshan (Rs 2,000 crore), Amitabh Bachchan and family (Rs 1,600 crore), and Karan Johar (Rs 1,400 crore), as highlighted in the list.
Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta, who co-own the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders alongside Khan, have also seen their wealth grow, thanks to their involvement in the Knight Riders Group.
Furthermore, the list reveals that Shah Rukh Khan holds the title for the highest number of social media followers among his peers, boasting a massive 44.1 million followers. He is followed by Hrithik Roshan with 32.3 million, Karan Johar with 17 million, Ratan Tata with 13.1 million, and Anand Mahindra with 11.2 million.
