Robert Downey Jr. recently shared a post on his Instagram account praising the artwork of Johnny Depp.

Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. recently shared his admiration for his good friend Johnny Depp’s art exhibition, A Bunch of Stuff. The immersive exhibit is currently taking place at the Starrett-Lehigh Building in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighbourhood. Downey Jr. took to his Instagram account to post a video showcasing his appreciation for Depp’s artistic endeavours.

On Wednesday, October 9, the 59-year-old actor posted the video which opened with him saying, “That’s my boy! Alright, let’s take a look at the show.” Downey shared some glimpses of Depp’s exhibition, which included his artwork and used the audio of the song Congratulations by the band Hollywood Vampires as the background music. The Iron Man actor even blew a kiss before ending the video. “Wow…Don’t miss A Bunch of Stuff now on exhibition at the Starrett-Leigh Building in NYC. My brother JD is an artist through and through, no surprise, just delight,” wrote Downey to create hype for his friend’s art exhibit.

Soon enough, the duo’s fans flooded the comment section, praising their friendship. A fan wrote, “I love seeing legends supporting legends!” Another said, “Seeing Tony Stark supporting Captain Jack Sparrow and vice versa is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Thank you guys for making me so happy.”

This post by Downey comes days after Depp praised his first Broadway role in the new play McNeal. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor shared a post on his Instagram account after he attended Downey’s performance at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. He wrote, “Most fortunate to witness my dear, brilliant friend Bob Downey and the superb cast of ‘McNeal’ last night at @lctheater. Outstanding! Go see it if you can!!!” As per reports, McNeal currently has limited runtime. It will go on til November 24, 2024.”

Johnny Depp’s art exhibition was made available to the public on October 4. According to various media reports, the exhibition promises an “intimate exploration” of the 61-year-old actor’s art like never before. During an interview with People, Depp shared, “Through the magic and madness of life, art has been my sanctuary. These pieces, born of different stages of my journey, are a residue of a life lived. Creation is not always a comfortable process, but for me, it’s a necessary one.” His art exhibit features artwork from the 2000s as well as some of Depp’s personal artefacts and ephemera.
