Ranbir Kapoor Says He Believes In Santana Dharma, Reveals He Reads About It: 'I Went Quite Deep...'
Ranbir Kapoor has opened up about his relationship with God. He said that he believes in Sanatana Dharma and expresses his gratitude to God every day.

In a recent podcast with Nikhil Kamath, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his relationship with God. He said that he believes in Sanatana Dharma and expresses his gratitude to God every day. He also opened up on his father’s relationship with God.

Ranbir said, “My dad was extremely pious. My mother was less religious, lesser than my dad, but it made him happy, so she used to do it. So, we, as kids, saw them, like you said, kids see their parents and try to emulate that. So I have a good feeling about God. I realised very early on that my manifestation power is very strong. If I ask something from God, I was getting it too easily. So at a very young age, I stopped asking, because I said, I’ll save it for a rainy day. And I was very young when I was having this conversation with myself. But I think since then, I, every night, I say, thank you, God, and I go to sleep.”

Ranbir also said he never ever asked God for something. “Even when I’m in trouble, when I’ve been like, my mother’s fighting with me, and I don’t have another conflicted conversation with her, where she’s going to cry and stuff like that. Or I want a film to succeed, or I want to buy something. I’ve never asked for that. So my relationship with God is a lot of gratitude. And you know, I feel very, very grateful for the place I’m in, of everything that I have. And so that kind of sums up my relationship with God,” he added.

Ranbir, who is all set to play Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari in Ramayana, also said that he is reading up on Sanatana Dharma. “I started believing a lot in the Sanatana Dharam. I think I started reading a lot about it in the last couple of years. I went quite deep into what it is, what the effects are. And see, you believe it or you don’t believe it.”
