India has clinched its first medal of the 2024 Paris Olympics with Manu Bhaker clinching a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Final on Sunday. The 22-year-old not only brought India a medal in Shooting after a 12-year drought, but also became the first female shooter to achieve the milestone. Celebrating the achievement, several celebrities have been pouring in congratulatory messages for the Olympian. The latest addition to the bandwagon is Ram Charan.
Sharing a picture of Manu Bhaker wrote, Ram Charan wrote, “Congratulations.. Manu Bhaker gaur!! Made every Indian proud.. many more!”

Preity Zinta also congratulated the Olympian through her Instagram stories. Dropping a picture, she wrote, “Congratulations Manu Bhaker on winning the first medal for India in Olympics2024. #bronzemedal #shooting #parisolympics2024 #JaiHind #ting.”
Taapsee also shared the photo and noted, “Opening our Olympic medal tally account with a bronze!!! Congratulations to this fantastic shooter.”
Manu Bhaker’s historic victory follows the winning of Abhinav Bindra, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Vijay Kumar and Gagan Narang who previously brought Olympic medals to India in shooting. Reportedly, Manu was competing with Kim Yeji for the second spot in the final elimination round. While Manu shot 10.1 and 10.3 in her last two shots, Kim shot just 9.7 and 9.8 finishing ahead of the Indian Olympian.
Coming back to the global star Ram Charan, he is currently in Paris with his wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela. Not long ago, the couple treated fans to a picture with PV Sindhu, pouring in wishes for her ahead of the games. The caption accompanying the picture read, “#jeetkiaur all the best #teamindia PV Sindhu. You are a true rock star. Olympics.” Responding to the picture, PV Sindhu stated, “I am so happy you guys could come!!”

Work-wise, Ram Charan has recently finished shooting for his highly-anticipated film, Game Changer. Directed by S Shankar, the actor began filming for the upcoming project in 2021. The film, set to release on Christmas this year, will see the actor playing the role of an IAS Officer. Besides the protagonist, the film also stars Kiara Advani who will also be essaying the character of a government officer. Additionally, actors like Anjali, SJ Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Samuthirakani and Nassar have also been roped in to play pivotal parts in the film.
