South actress Trisha, over the years, has emerged as one of the leading actresses in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. Debuted with the Tamil film, Mounam Pesidyadhe, in 2002, the actress got her first break with the Telugu film Varsham in 2004. It starred Trisha, Gopichand and Prabhas in the lead roles. The action thriller movie was directed by Sobhan with Devi Sri Prasad composing the music. The film was a blockbuster hit running in theatres for over 50 days. The film also celebrated its silver jubilee with Megastar Chiranjeevi attending as a chief guest. The movie was remade in Bollywood as Baaghi in 2016, with Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. Prabhas, who was already known as an action star, gained massive fame from the film. But do you know that actress Trisha was not the first choice by the maker for the lead role?
As per media reports, actress Aditi Agarwal was allegedly the first choice of the makers for the movie. The actress was in the limelight at that time for her role in Allu Arjun-starrer Gangotri in 2003. It was directed by K Raghavendra Rao. MM Keeravani composed the music for the film. The actress eventually rejected her role in the movie. Reportedly, due to Aditi Aggarwal’s unavailability, Trisha found her big break in the entertainment industry. It should also be noted that such claims have not been verified by the makers or the actors yet.
Trisha was also recently seen in the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Leo which was a blockbuster hit at the box office. The actress reunited with superstar Thalapathy Vijay after 15 years for this movie. Lokesh Kanagaraj directed it. Trish played the role of the lead heroine in the film. You will be surprised to know that Trisha was not the first choice of the Leo makers for the movie. As per the report of Times Of India, the role of Thalapathy Vijay’s wife in the movie was first offered to actress Sai Pallavi. The actress allegedly refused the role because she felt that her character did not have enough scenes in the movie.
Trisha will be next seen in Ajith Kumar’s Vidaa Muyarchi, Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara and Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life.
