Deepika Padukone emphasized the importance of taking care of one's mental health.

New mom Deepika Padukone recently sat down with Ariana Huffington for a conversation about mental health and burnout. She said that sleep deprivation often causes her stress, leading to burnout. Deepika added that this burnout and stress in turn affects her decision-making skills.

“When you are sleep-deprived or burnt out the decisions that you make and I think sometimes I can actually feel it. I know on particular days when I am feeling stressed or burnt out because I haven’t slept enough or practice my self-care rituals…I can tell that my decision-making is getting affected to some extent,” Deepika said in the Live Love Laugh Foundation Lecture Series on World Mental Health Day 2024.

Deepika Padukone has been quite vocal about her struggle with mental health. Deepika opened up about her battle with depression in 2014. She founded the Live Love Laugh Foundation in 2015 to spread awareness about mental health.

The actress’ life has become more chaotic since she became a new mom. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on September 8, 2024. Since then, they have been busy with their little one, and fans are excited to see Deepika as a mother. In the meantime, she shared a glimpse of this new phase in her life. Deepika recently changed her Instagram bio saying ‘Feed Burp Sleep Repeat’.

Meanwhile, Ranveer and Deepika reunited for Singham Again after over six years. The last time the couple shared the screen was in Padmaavat, which was released in January 2019. In Singham Again, Ranveer will be seen as Simmba while Deepika will be seen as Shakti. It is unclear if they are paired opposite each other in the film. Singham Again is set to release on the occasion of Diwali.

Deepika Padukone couldn’t attend the Singham Again trailer launch on Monday. While fans were heartbroken, Ranveer revealed that she sent her love to fans. He said that she couldn’t come for the trailer launch because she was taking care of the baby. The new father added that he takes over the night duties.
