Mrunal Dusalis On Payment Issues With Mandar Devsthali, Says 'He Is Good Director But Bad Producer'

Mrunal Dusanis is one of the popular Marathi actresses who took a break from the entertainment industry after settling in the US with her husband in 2020. The actress has now returned to India with her husband Neeraj More. Ever since her return, the Maziya Priyale Preet Kalena fame serial actress has been creating a buzz in the entertainment industry with her photos and controversial statements.

Now, reflecting on the accusation of various Marathi artists over late payment in the TV industry, the actress said that she also experienced the same during her stint in Sukhachya Sarini He Man Baware show. It starred Mrunal Dusanis and Shashank Ketkar in the lead roles. It was produced and directed by Mandar Devsthali.

From Sashank Ketkar to Sharmishtha Raut to Sangram Samel, many actors have accused producer and director Mandar Deosthali of late payments. Mrunal Dusanis is the new name on this list. In her interview with Celebrity Katta, Mrunal was reportedly asked to present her views on this ongoing controversy against the director Mandar Deosthali as her last appearance on television was under this producer and director.

“I worked in that serial very wholeheartedly. My father was sick then. I could not give them time. Even though it was my father’s last days, I could not give time to my family,” said Mrunal Dusanis as quoted in the reports. She shared that her state of mind was very fragile at that time due to family problems and work. It also led her to rant about the payment issues with her fans through a social media post. It was posted three years ago and went viral in no time. Other actors facing the same issues also came forward with this complaint after watching the post.

Recalling late and absent payments of her hard work in the serial Sukhachya Sarini He Man Baware, Mrunal said “I worked well but I didn’t get my money. Shashank alone got his money back but his TDS is yet to be received. But nothing happens just by paying money alone. They should have paid at least half of others”. The actress never faced such kind of situation in her career before. She too confessed that she was alerted by many of her colleagues regarding the payment issues with the producer Mandar Deosthali but she ignored those caution calls and joined the show. One of the reasons for joining the show is the impeccable directorial skills of Mandar Deosthali.

“He is a great director. He had my first audition. I will not be able to work with him as a production further but he is great as a director,” actress Mrunal Dusanis added. She raised the same issue three years ago. The Insta post regarding the same by the actress also went viral at that time.

Mrunal Dusanis made her debut on the small screen with the Marathi show Maziya Priyala Preet Kalena, which was broadcast on Zee Marathi and premiered in 2011.
