Popular filmmaker VK Prakash is all set to launch his next directorial Paalum Pazhavum, starring Meera Jasmine in the female lead. The film is slated to release on August 23. It tells the love story of Sumi and Sunil that blossoms in the new age. From connecting through social media to falling in love, the upcoming film is expected to appeal to the younger generation. Meera Jasmine shared the new poster on her social media and wrote “Love in the time of likes & shares! The film has Meera Jasmine and Aswin Jose in the lead roles. It also stars actors Shanthi Krishna, Ashokan, Maniyanpillai Raju, Nisha Sarangh, Rachana Narayanankutty, Mithun Ramesh, Sumesh Chandran, Adil Ibrahim, Shinu Shyamalan, Thushara, Vineeth Ramachandran and Atul Ram Kumar in supporting roles. Cinematography is in the hands of Rahul Deep and editing is in the hands of Praveen Prabhakar. The music has been composed by Sachin Balu, Joel Jones and the duo Justin Uday. Gopi Sundar is composing the background music for the film. Meera Jasmine was last seen in Queen Elizabeth.
Meera Jasmine is an Indian actress who mainly appears in films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. Meera made her debut in 2001 with the Lohithadas film Soothradharan. She acted in various commercial and successful films in South Indian languages which made her one of the most successful actresses of the 2000s.

Her performance was appreciated and the film was a huge commercial success. Among the five main actors, Meera was again the highest-grossing actress.
She rose to fame in Malayalam cinema with the film Kasthooriman, directed by her mentor Lohithadas, in which she played a happy but emotionally complex character. She received her first Filmfare Award for her performance in Kasthooriman. The film was a box office success and ran for 100 days.
In the same year, she acted in TV Chandran’s acclaimed film Padam Onnu Oru Vilapam. She played a 15-year-old Muslim girl who is forced to marry an older man. For this, she won the State Award and the National Award, along with several other awards. This was followed by her performance as Raziya in Perumazhakkalam opposite Kavya Madhavan.
